My two friends and I took an Everglades tour when we were staying on vacation in Hollywood Florida. My friends and I knew nothing about the Everglades prior to our trip to Miami. We all hail from the beautiful state of Wyoming. Our winter climate in Wyoming is frigid so coming to Southern Florida in the month of November was a physical shrock to our systems. It was a very nice shock to our systems though because we all thoroughly enjoy the tropical climate.

We checked our bags into our very nice hotel. Since it was so late and we were all very tired we just had a few drinks in the lounge of our hotel. The next morning we woke up early and decided we wanted to take a walk around and take a look at our surroundings. As we were passing by all of the stores on Lincoln Road we kept seeing signs everywhere for Everglades Tours.

All three of us very much into nature and seeing animals out in the wilderness because hunting is a very big part of all of our lives so we decided that this would be a great tour for us to tale. So we walked inside to one of the stores that had the sign to sell Everglades tours hanging in their window and we spoke to the lady that worked there. She told us she could get us our Everglades tour tickets for half price so we took her up on her offer.

The next day our tour bus pick this up right in front of our hotel at nine in the morning. The drive to the national Park took us about an hour. When we arrived at the park we were immediately ushered over to the dock where the air boats leave from. Airboats are the flat bottomed boats that have the huge fans in the stern. This part of the Everglades tour might have been the highlight of my entire vacation.

We drove around the mangroves on the boat for the beginning part of the boat ride and saw a lot of baby alligators. We were riding down a little creek and then everything opened up and it was just a massive endless marsh. the driver of the boat went really fast through these marshes he cut righted he cut left he did donuts and figure eights. When he stopped we saw a lot of wildlife out there birds, alligator, snakes it was amazing. The alligators we saw out here were anywhere from About 4 to 8 foot long as opposed to the 1 foot long baby alligators we saw on the way back.

After we came back into the dock when we were finished we went and grabbed a bite to eat at the restaurant they have there and took a look around at the souvenir store. when we were done it was time to watch one of the shows that the Everglades tours puts on. The show was fantastic.

The host of the show in Miami seemed to know everything about the wildlife in the Everglades Miami tours special. He also had a lot of jokes. For that shows finale he wrestled and alligator and. When it was over we were sad that we had to leave but the Everglades tour bus dropped us back off at our hotel and we just kept talking about the tour all night long. Mostly we talked about the fact that we wished we could have brought our rifles, Maybe next time doint all these Miami attractions then we will remember.
